CKI Ambassador

Laura Rabel, student at West Virginia University

Hello, World Changers! My name is Laura Rabel and I am a sophomore at West Virginia University studying Child Development and Family Studies. I am currently serving as the West Virginia District’s Editor and the Ambassador for Poverty and Food Insecurity for the International Service Committee. I am very excited to be your Circle K International STUFH ambassador for the 2019-2020 service year!

I have had a passion for combating the food insecurity issue we see in our world every day. I am dedicated to seeing this issue lessen every year. This is why I am so excited to take on the role of the CKI STUFH ambassador. These changes can start with you. Throughout the year, I will work very hard to get you and your clubs the resources needed to combat this problem in your community and world. There are several events that are easy and impactful that our clubs can do in any area of the world. Throughout my time as the STUFH ambassador, I will encourage clubs everywhere to take action and participate in events such as STUFH the Bus, food drives, community gardens, soup kitchens, awareness events, and educational workshops to understand how food impacts us, our community, and our world.

I will strive to strengthen our participation with STUFH so we can get more done and impact more families. Creativity and independence in these projects are essential to creating events that are most impactful for your communities and clubs. Implementing projects that can be done throughout the following years will leave a legacy and continue to fill families and communities. I hope you all will team up with me this year to fight hunger in your communities.
